Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RateRecon, an automated freight invoice auditing service operated by an independent developer in Hong Kong ("RateRecon", "we", "us"). By subscribing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

RateRecon receives freight documents (rate confirmations, carrier invoices and related attachments) from you by email or upload, extracts line items using automated processing including AI-based document understanding, compares invoices against the corresponding rate confirmations, and delivers a mismatch report with draft dispute letters ("Reports").

2. What RateRecon Is — and Is Not

RateRecon is a document reconciliation and reporting tool. It is not a law firm, accountant, freight audit-payment service, or transportation intermediary. We do not negotiate with carriers on your behalf, pay invoices, transmit payments, or provide legal advice. Dispute letters generated by the service are drafts for your review; you decide whether and how to send them. All audit outcomes are advisory findings, not certifications.

3. Your Responsibilities

You must have the right to submit the documents you send us, including rate confirmations and carrier invoices.
You are responsible for reviewing Reports before acting on them. Automated extraction can misread low-quality scans, handwritten notes, or unusual layouts.
You are responsible for your own carrier relationships, payments, and disputes.

4. Subscriptions, Billing and Renewal

The Professional Plan is US$199 per month, billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (a merchant-of-record platform, currently Dodo Payments). Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your customer billing portal or by emailing support@raterecon.qd.je; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. 5. Data Handling

We process your documents only to provide the service. Details are in our Privacy Policy. You retain all rights to your documents; we claim no ownership over them.

6. Availability and Support

We target continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Support is provided by email at support@raterecon.qd.je with a response target of one (1) business day.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateRecon's total liability arising from or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for missed overcharges, disputed amounts, business losses, or actions taken based on Reports.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate the service for non-payment or violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. On termination, we will make your most recent Reports available for download for 30 days.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong.
